The contract involved installing approximately 150m of clay foul drainage, over 300m of plastic surface water drainage and 200m of filter drains with associated oil interceptors and silt traps. Pipe diameters varied from 100mm up to 300mm with invert levels over 2m deep.
The drainage services a new factory unit, office and external yards.
Substantial savings were made by the Main Contractor by Northern Consruction Solutions value engineering the scheme and using alternative materials to those specified.
The job was completed successfully over a seven week period on a compact site, working alongside other subcontractors and liaising closely with the Main Contractor.
