Following the opening of the Hull Stadium, improvements were required to the surrounding park facilities and adjacent car park; many of these were undertaken by Northern Construction Solutions in this contract. The basis was full design and construct, taking the outline proposals and producing from them fully designed solutions for each element of work, which included:
- Upgrading of 50,000m² car park; replacing grassed areas with stone and gravelled surfaces and installing new drains
- Trimming and tarmac surfacing stadium access road 600m long; soiling and seeding verges
- Replacing 300m park road with new surfaced road.
- Demolition of existing aviaries and creation of new formal ornamental gardens, including decorative paving, mosaics, lighting, street furniture and planting.
- Traffic calming and other safety measures to park roads
- Creation of landscape bunds within the park
