Park Lane Metro Interchange

As part of the new Metro Extension to Sunderland, Park Lane Metro Station combines with the existing bus station to form a new interchange for Sunderland City Centre.

The project included the installation of all paving and kerbing works, erection of guard rails, painting of bollards and handrails and top soiling to landscape areas. In addition, surfacing to a new bus lay-by and bus turning areas were carried out in and around the live bus station.

Due to the tight programme deadlines, works were ongoing seven days a week working in and around other construction activities.
